Ski Area Opening Festival
Date: Dec.10 10:00 ～ Ceremonial Mochi Pounding event wishing for a good season.

※ The event will take place regardless of the weather, but the opening date of ski courses will depend on the amount of snow we get. Please visit our website or call us for details.

Torch Train Parade
The Torch Train will leave the Expert Course and run down towards Okushiga Kogen Hotel.
Date: Dec. 31 (New Year’s Eve) 17:15 ～ The parade will go down Course No.1 if the bad weather is bad.
New Year’s Eve Countdown Fireworks

Snow Cat Tour
Hop on a snow cat and watch the sun rise!
At dawn, you will be taken to the top of the mountain. After basking the first sunrise of the year, you may either go down the untouched hills or hop back down on the snow-cat.

Snake Gills
Go down the cascade-etched slope during the after hours with a sled that binds with one another into a snake-like formation.
Duration: Jan. ～ Apr. Cost: ¥2000/head Contact: Shiga International Ski School 0269-24-2007
※ The pilot is a ski instructor.
※ During daytime of the weekend, we set up a special course just for Snake Gillis pulled by an ATV. Cost: ¥500/head
– Those who don’t do snow sports too are welcome. (Preferable with snow clothes, googles and gloves)
Early Birds
We will open the Second High Speed Pair lift and Gondola at 8AM during Jan.7 and Mar.12
Okushiga Powder Max one-day pass
Enjoy dry light powder snow (a.k.a. Japaw) at Okushiga – the mecca of powder snow.

Early Bird Lifts and Gondola (days)
The Second High Speed Pair Lift・Third High Speed Pair Lift・Gondola will open at 6:30 during the following days: Mar. 19・20・25・26.
Golden Week Early Bird Lifts and Gondola
The Second High Speed Pair Lift・Third High Speed Pair Lift・Gondola will open at 6AM during the following days: Apr. 29・30・May 3 ～ 7.
Spring Ski Festival
